This campaign is intended to support the acquisition and conditioning of a house so that it can become a livable, stable, and suitable home for a dependent person living with a complex medical situation.
At this initial stage, part of the funds raised will be used to cover necessary legal and administrative costs, as the property is currently occupied and has been subject to ongoing vandalism. These legal steps are essential to secure the home, protect it from further damage, and allow the process of acquisition and rehabilitation to move forward in a lawful and orderly manner.
At present, it is not possible to define every specific refurbishment or improvement in detail. The full scope of work will only become clear once the property is fully recovered and a complete technical assessment can be carried out. For this reason, funds raised through this campaign will be used responsibly and flexibly, prioritising the most urgent and essential actions required to make the house safe, functional, and suitable for everyday living. This includes, but is not limited to, basic structural repairs, essential installations, accessibility adaptations, and the minimum equipment needed for the home to function with dignity and stability. All decisions regarding the use of funds will be guided by necessity, proportionality, and transparency throughout the process
The overall aim of this campaign is to support long-term stability, independence, and a safe living environment for a person in a medically vulnerable situation, while ensuring responsible stewardship and clear communication regarding how funds are used at every stage.
